Baking Feijoa Muffins

Our new learning space that we will share with Room 6 has a kitchen in it. We made Feijoa Muffins. We got the feijoas from the Kitchen Garden at school.
We all helped to make the delicious muffins.

We had to put in eggs, milk, brown sugar, feijoas, mashed banana, melted butter, baking soda, baking powder and flour.
We had to mix all the ingredients up.

The Feijoa Muffins were scrumptious.
We shared the muffins with the teachers. All the teachers thought they tasted delicious.

  1. Wow Room 5, the muffins look yummy. We can't wait to make scrumptious, delicious muffins with you all tomorrow. We can bring some feijoa's to put in the muffins.

  2. They certainly do look yummy. Anna sent me the recipe at the weekend because she knew I had lots of feijoas to use. Have you got any tips to help me make my muffins as good as yours? You can email me at ahyde@mokoia.schoool.nz.

  4. Hi Room 5,
I love feijoas. I wish I had been there with you today! I live right down the south of the South Island and feijoas don't ripen so well down here and they are still quite expensive to buy! I wonder if any of you have been to Dunedin or Mosgiel?

  5. Yummy. Feijoas are my favorite. I haven't tried feijoa muffins before. I might just have to give that a go.

  6. Awesome work Room 5. You are making my mouth water as I haven't had a chance to make anything with feijoas yet this year. Keep up the good work.
