Room 4 has been learning how to ask people how they feel and also to respond.
We used the iPad and a great app called Sock Puppets to record us talking to each other. We like that our voices sound different when we use Sock Puppets. Anna has made our puppet shows into a movie.
We loved listening to each other and now we all want to record ourselves speaking te reo.

Ka pai, Tamariki! You have done a great job there using sock puppets to help teach people from all around the world a little bit of te reo! What a marvellous way to celebrate Maori Language week!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comment. We loved listening to it so much we had to play it again.

Hello Anna's Amazing Learners,
ReplyDeleteKei te pehea koe?
Kei te koa au.
Why a I happy? Your wonderful sock puppet video brought a smile to my face. :)
The Maori language is one of the world's beautiful languages. I'm afraid I have little skill in the language and have to seek help from my Maori dictionary and phrase book to help.

Hi!
DeleteWe think it is great that our puppet show made you feel happy. We also think it is amazing that someone in Australia knows some Maori.
Thank you so much for your comment. It is cool to hear from you.

Room 15 Year 2 at Glenview School thinks you are very clever at speaking Maori. Raven wants to know how you change your voices?
ReplyDeleteThank you Room 15 for your lovely comment. We like speaking Te Reo. It is fun.
DeleteDo you know Raven we don't change our voices but the app we use called Sock Puppets changes the voices for us. You can make them sound higher or lower in the settings part of the app.
