We are celebrating Tane Mahuta Day. It is when we celebrate the trees and our school environment.
Anna painted a tree on our window.
We all helped to make some beautiful leaves for the tree. We think we have made a lovely tree together.
We played "I spy" around our school. We had to find the trees in the photos. We had to look very carefully at the photos and the trees to see if they matched.
We got to go onto Putikitiki and had a little play on the playground. We also got to see some ladybirds and fantails that like to live in the trees.
I might go and see the tree on tuesday.I hope Anna hasn't cleaned the window.

Don't worry Rebecca the tree is still there! Room 4 love it so much I think it will be there for awhile.
DeleteMrs Blair saw some children at playtime touching the tree through the glass. I wonder if they thought it was real?

Hi Room 4,
ReplyDeleteYou certainly have alot of beautiful trees and plants at your school. You also seem to have alot of space to play in. This term we have been learning about our senses and the focus this week was `touch'. Ms Dowling collected alot of plants from our local nursery for us to touch. If we were in New Zealand we could have just visited your school instead!
Do all these trees have interesting names?
From Ms Dowling and KD
PS- The tree you made together is sensational!
Hi room 4 hows it going.I really love your tree out side your window.
